About Program
Study in Buenos Aires, Argentina
University of Belgrano
Located on the southern tip of the Río de la Plata, Buenos Aires is the cultural and economic center of Argentina. With around 3 million people living in the city and over 12 million in the greater metropolitan area, its influence over the country cannot be underestimated.
Buenos Aires has a number of distinctive neighborhoods that offer visitors something unique for everyone—from the quiet streets and trendy shops in Palermo SoHo, to the hustle and bustle of the Barrio Norte. In many ways, Buenos Aires feels equal parts New York City, Madrid, and Paris. It offers world-class shopping and dining, unique architecture, beautiful parks and botanical gardens, inexpensive and efficient public transportation, and cultural and religious diversity. Outside the city, venture to Iguazú Falls or Costa Del Este on overnight excursions and visit El Tigre or an Argentine ranch in the Pampas on day trips. For any student looking to learn Spanish, experience life in a different culture, and live in a cosmopolitan city, Buenos Aires is a fantastic choice.
The Universidad de Belgrano offers Spanish language courses as well as subject areas including art history, economics, international business, politics, international relations, Latin American history and culture, film and literature. You’ll have the option of enriching your experience by living with an Argentine host family.

Academics
University of Belgrano
Open to all levels of Spanish learners, there are courses offered in English or Spanish. While a Spanish language course is optional, it is strongly recommended. Beginner's Spanish is only offered during the intensive month-long program. If taking Spanish language courses, a language placement test will be required to determine your Spanish level.
Course enrollment will consist of 3-4 courses per semester. Students who enroll in the intensive month-long+semester program can enroll in 2-3 courses during the regular semester. The month-long intensive Spanish session (early start) option is an excellent way to advance your Spanish language skills before the semester starts so you're ready to courses taught in Spanish during the semester.
