Renowned as a center of technological excellency, Limerick is home to the National Technology Park and to many international technology firms. Limerick also has a large range of attractions, museums, and art galleries to explore.
The Limerick countrysides offer loads of outdoor adventure, including mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and kayaking. The Curraghchase Forest Park offers 777 acres of picturesque scenery. The park is full of walkways, nature trails, picnic areas, a lake, and a playground. Make sure to check out Lough Gur, a lake at the center of an archeological landscape dotted with sites that represent every major period of human history in Ireland.

The University is internationally focused and has a proud record of innovation in education and excellence in research and scholarship. The University offers a wide range of programs and courses for students to choose from. The campus itself is over 300 acres situated along the Shannon river.
