Siiri is a senior at UMD working 2 on-campus jobs: Study Abroad's Marketing and Communications Assistant & UMD Recreational Sports & Outdoor Program Operations Staff. She is also involved in Women in Business, Advertising and Marketing Club, and Yoga Club! She is majoring in Marketing with a minor in English and in the future hopes to work in a public relations position. In her junior year of high school, Siiri traveled to Ethiopia with her family, and got to experience a beautiful new culture which sparked her interest in studying abroad in college. She studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland during the 2023 spring semester!
Most memorable views during your travels.
My most memorable view was looking over the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. It was such a breathtaking experience, the natural beauty of Ireland really is like none other.
What makes you happy?
Traveling, hiking, camping, and skiing makes me happy! I love being out in nature.
What gets me out of bed in the morning?
Drinking a chai latte, it's my favorite drink and always gets my day started on the right foot.
Best advice to a future study abroad student:
Take in every little experience, the more you immerse yourself the more you'll get out of your program.
The next thing on your bucket list?
I would love to go to Croatia, specifically Split or Zagreb!
