Study Abroad Deferred Payment Program

The Study Abroad Deferred Payment is a no-interest/no fees program designed to assist you in covering your program deposit and flight booking costs if you do not have the funds available prior to receiving your financial aid. It enables you to pay for these costs at the same time as your program fees with your financial aid package. The Study Abroad Deferred Payment covers these costs until the program fee is billed to your account.

Financial Aid

Most financial aid at UMD can be used to pay for your study abroad experience.

Consult with One Stop to find out when and how aid is disbursed, scholarship opportunities, and loan information. One Stop counseling is available to see how financial aid may apply to your study abroad experience. They will be able to guide you with money matters and budget samples. It's helpful to bring your program cost estimate with you.
